Merrimack Riverfront Trails-Site Walk 7/21/2015

There was a site walk yesterday at the Merrimack Riverfront property to discuss trail alternatives that would allow riverfront views while also protecting the bald eagle population on the river. Reps from Fish & Game, NH Audubon, Stantec, the Town and the Conservation Commission attended.

Anyone who has ever gardened at home looks on a heap of grass clippings as a welcome sight.  It’s tough to imagine seeing such a useful vegetation-blocker substance as a problem. This summer in Hooksett Conservation Easements, a significant number of grass heaps have been discovered inside easement boundaries.
